If you are looking for CRAFT FELT SHEETS (synthetic felt made of acrylic, polyester, rayon) it is quite widely available in Singapore, craft felt is cheaper but the problem with craft felt sheets is that they aren’t very durable, fuss over time and can be easily tore between seams (Based on my experience it’s worse if you stitch craft felt using sewing machine). Yet, craft felt is a very good option for beginners as well as decorative items that don’t get rubbed against frequently.

For felt flowers, larger felt toys and applique on daily items craft felt might not be the right choice. When I restarted my felt projects I made a family album cover for Nana using craft felt from Spotlight (that was my first project after I moved to Singapore so the only place I know for felt sheet by then was Spotlight) and she can tear them apart when she’s only 18 months old!! WOOL FELT SHEETS would the better option if you intended to make felt items that would last longer, it can be 100% wool or blended with rayon, it is more expensive but feel very soft, elastic yet durable and won’t fuss over time.

While there are many places in Singapore which is selling craft felt sheets, Spotlight seems to be the only one selling wool blended felt, there are also shops on Etsy who’s selling blended or 100% wool felt and ships to Singapore, you can definitely find one on Etsy 🙂

So, here’s a list of shops in Singapore where I got my felt sheets, let me know if you could find more!

Spotlight

Despite the relatively higher price tag Spotlight is still my No.1 place to go for my art and craft supplies, now with Artfriend and Daiso situated in the same mall it also make it a one-stop solution for busy mom lol!! Spotlight sells a wide range of felt from craft felt to wool blended felt, if you’re doing large felt projects Spotlight also sells craft felt in yard.

Daiso

My favourite place for craft accessories!! At just $2 each Daiso’s craft felt rolls are great for any school projects and mock-ups. My pick from Daiso is their collection of Japanese kimono pattern craft felts which is absolutely adorable. They also carries a fairly wide range of small art and craft accessories and yay, everything just SGD$2!!

Golden Dragon

Tucked in the corner of People’s Park Centre in Chinatown, Golden Dragon reminds me a lot about NeedleWork Club that I used to shop when I was in Hong Kong. Their products are priced quite reasonably and they do carry a smaller collection of acrylic craft felt sheets.

Art Friend

I first got to know Artfriend when I was touring Bras Basah for art supplies, it then opened a new store in Plaza Singapura which I drop by often for paper supplies. It does carry a small collection of craft felt sheets which is probably good for school projects just like those from Daiso but they are definitely great for painting and paper supplies.
