I have this IKEA PIRO clock for quite some time (It actually took me quite some time to find out the name of this clock as it has been retired for way too long), I love its wooden frame and I am glad that I brought it as IKEA is not selling any clock that looks like this anymore. But it’s too dark for a toddler bedroom so I decided to give it a facelift!

I sketched a few designs for Nana and to my surprise, she picked this simple bunny face design (she did give me some great idea of designing a clock as Ferris wheel!! I think I will do that for our other IKEA clock!)

  1. Cut the white background,  the numbers and bunny face;
  2. Dissemble the IKEA PIRO clock by unscrewing the screws at the back of it and gently pull the body. Gently take out the arms of the clock;
  3. Transfer the bunny face to the new clock background;
  4. Transfer the numbers to the new clock background by referencing the clock template;
  5. Glue to the new background to the clock using double sided tape;
  6. Reassemble the clock back and…

Ta dah~~We are DONE!!

So here’s everything I used to get my PIRO clock a makeover (This content contains affiliate links. Disclosure):

  • IKEA PIRO Clock (Retired item)
  • White Cardstock
  • Vinyl (Black, Grey and Pink)
  • Double Sided Tape
